www.shurush.org was designed, developed, and launched by Dynamic Digital Advertising to promote the Shurush Initiative, a nonprofit organization, whose sole purpose is to fund microloans for Palestinian entrepreneurs. Shurush means “roots” in both Hebrew and Arabic.

Southampton, PA, October 18, 2005 – Dynamic Digital Advertising (DDA) developed an effective website design for the Shurush Initiative. DDA designed www.shurush.org to generate awareness of the Shurush Microfinance Intiative. The site states why donating to the Shurush Initiative is so important. In 2002, 60% of the people of the West Bank and Gaza Strip (WBG) were considered impoverished, relying on less than U.S. $2.1 a day to survive. Today, the rate has changed very little. Assets such as land, livestock, and equipment are usually sold to generate financial stability, leaving families with almost nothing to accrue any value for the future. People in WBG need financial and technical support not only to survive but also to help them provide for future generations. Displayed pictures illustrate Palestinian hope and strategic planning to better their economic situation.

The Shurush Initiative asks that website visitors donate to the $2 Campaign. Donations help Palestinians return to work, improve or expand their existing small business, hire employees, and purchase equipment and materials. Dynamic Digital Advertising built e-commerce capabilities to make donating an easy 2-minute process.

DDA features a page devoted to articles and recognition that demonstrate how the Shurush Initiative is helping Palestine citizens’ and changing the future of the Palestinian economy. Another page highlights Shurush Initiative programs. To create the Rural Entrepreneurship Loan Program, the Shurush Initiative partnered with the East Jerusalem YMCA.
