TraumaCure WoundStatT 3D Animated Training Video - 2008
DDA Medical creates an appealing video to help TraumaCure, Inc. train soldiers on the application of its hemostatic agent, WoundStatT.
TraumaCure, Inc. is a life science company whose mission is to deliver wound treatment products to military and civilian segments. In 2007, TraumaCure contacted Dynamic Digital Advertising (DDA) Medical to produce a DVD video that would train soldiers wounded in combat how to correctly apply WoundStatT, a hemostatic agent. TraumaCure wanted to reach the younger, male demographic as the target audience for the video.
DDA Medical and TraumaCure decided that a simulation-based training video would be the best approach in training the target audience on the application of WoundStatT. Using 3D modeling and animation, DDA Medical would create a visually-appealing video on the proper application of the life-saving product. Animal study videos and illustrations are typically used for training video purposes, but DDA Medical understood the target audience would become more actively engaged in the video if it was simulation-based. The extensive use of visual engagement in the video would help the viewers focus on the information and thus retain the important knowledge of WoundStatT application.
A clear and informative voiceover narration was written by DDA Medical writers. DDA Actors' Network was used to cast an actor to record the narration in DDA Medical's high-tech sound studio. Two 3D characters were created by a team of DDA Medical videographers and animators. The animations were used to explain the application of WoundStatT in the field. The narration was edited and synced to the animation. Graphics, background music, and live video were all included in the final product to enhance the viewer's overall experience.
The simulation-based, animated training video was distributed in DVD form to numerous military organizations across the United States, successfully reaching the target audience. TraumaCure also used the training video to promote its brand and the WoundStatT product at trade shows. As a part of its marketing outreach, TraumaCure also incorporated the video into its website. DDA Medical's 3D animations received national attention as they were featured on Fox News.
