Jewelry Spins Return

We arrived at DDA this morning to freshly fallen snow. Though only a dusting, it is the most we have gotten this season so far. DDA’s surrounding woods have been turned into a winter wonderland without turning the roads into a winter pain in the neck. It is the perfect scenario. Anyway, this week’s time will be split up between several projects.

After a brief hiatus, the 360 degree rotating jewelry videos have returned. This time they aren’t charms, but rings. Like the charms, a system will have to be worked out that is both efficient and visually pleasing. We ordered some LCD bulbs and a star filter to make the rings really sparkle. Some of these bad boys are quite expensive so it is important to make them look their best.

Also, we will continue work on the DVD for the physical therapy chain. The DVD has gotten a new design thanks to Carrie and is really looking cool. The video combines on location and studio footage with video animations and silhouettes. It is sure to turn heads.

Finally, more videos for DDA CMT are in production and should be completed soon. These videos combine motion tracking, 3-d animation and a video spokesperson for a truly stimulating user experience.

That’s all for now. See ya later!

A Website is a Website no Matter how Small

Recently, my 4-year old has grown a liking for Dr. Seuss. I couldn’t be happier. Somehow, someway my childhood was devoid of Dr. Seuss books. I never read a one of them. Aside from The Grinch movie at Christmastime and Green Eggs and Ham, I was pretty ignorant in the Seuss department. Last night, we were reading Horton Hears a Who and I honestly got a little teary-eyed for the little Whos floating around on their speck relying on Horton to get them to the top of Mt. Nool before the “haters” of the Whos boiled them. Anyway, I’m sure you know the story, but if you are like me and you don’t, well, Horton explains to all that A Person is a Person no matter how small and the little Whos chant We Are Here, We Are Here and well you’ll just have to read the story to find out what happens.

DDA is here! DDA is here! We may not be floating around on a speck (or maybe we are?), but we are here and we are a talented group. Medical websites, retail and corporate website design, Healthcare IT for training, consumer information, patient information, and personal online health records, medical and corporate print design, including brochures, logo design and development, letterhead and envelope design and video and animation services are here. We’ve designed websites of all shapes and sizes. Provided our clients with our one-of-a-kind customer service. So, if you’re in the need of a 25 page website or a 125 page website, we are here!

Experience Is Sacred

One of the irritating things that happen often when working with creative types is a comment like “when I worked with (name a big ad agency or major brand), we did such and such…” But sir, (you think to yourself) that was 30 years ago. There were no computers or websites and all the accompanying changes the digital world has created.

EXPERIENCE IS SACRED but do not use it to regurgitate old ideas and think that flies in this arena. The other irritating occurance is creatives who play. They don’t really know what they want so they move images, resize fonts, change colors. Guys, guys this is not chessboard and if it were–checkmate.

The reason DDA has such wonderful examples in its many online portfolios is not an accident. We have experienced, skilled graphic designers and videographers and content developers and the best marketing ideas. We are good at what we do and we treat each project very seriously from kick off meeting to completion! My plea. If you choose us, let us do our job.
