Gone Scrubbin’

There have been quite a few DDA video and photo shoots recently. I feel like I’ve been somewhere different every other week! This past week was certainly no exception. Laurence and I spent a day and a half on location for yet another exciting DDA Medical video shoot. This time we had the pleasure of throwing on the scrubs and capturing an open heart surgery at the Valley Health System Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t really know what to expect. It’s one thing seeing stuff like that on TV, but it’s different when you get the lens up close in person. I won’t lie; the initial chest incision was a bit intense but once the surgeons took care of all of the prep work, the surgery actually became very intriguing.

After witnessing a patient surviving on a mechanical heart for nearly an hour while getting an aortic valve replacement and single bypass,  I gained an even greater respect for the doctors, surgeons, and nurses that save lives and take care of patients on a daily basis. I got a first hand view of modern medical technology and I must say, it’s quite impressive.

DDA Video and DDA Medical also continues to grow as media technology advances. We’re always staying ahead of the competition by creating custom medical websites, state-of-the-art virtual medical simulations, and interactive CD and DVDs, all in high definition. There are plenty of samples on our DDA Medical Portfolio.

We managed to take a couple quick snapshots. Check out our wonderful attire!
