Change Is Ubiquitous
Remember when as kids, you would stand in the school yard while two teams were formed to play a game of ball. The popular kids or the budding athletes always got chosen first, and as the field narrowed, you hoped you would not be the last one chosen. Growing up was hard to do.
Well, here we are entering the 21st century and we have at our disposal some of the most advanced technological tools to work and play with, and as I write, the fight between Apple and Adobe on the internet playground feels like that long ago memory in the school yard. It matters little at this point whose side you are on. The sad reality is that two great companies are in the midst of a divorce and for developers like DDA who work extensively with Flash, we have to swallow hard, accept quickly that we must change and move on.
DDA has important clients that embed video in their medical eLearning projects, and if these clients are to be served, we have to re-encode those videos. Furthermore, as more and more businesses make mobile devices part of their daily arsenal they need to be assured their projects are viewable on all mobile devices. IPhones and IPads are definitely the preferred choice for work and leisure time, and we would be remiss not to recognize that and adapt.
In yesterday’s post I said we could spin on a dime, and we are doing just that. In a few weeks, we will launch a new website that will offer to corporate and medical companies the resources they need to make their websites IPad ready.
