I had a dream

The other night I had a dream I was back in my glory days playing basketball.  We had stopped for something to eat at a fast food place (post game) and some girl was making fun of one of my teammates, so I did the ‘grab the drink and oops I spilled’ it thing.  Dumb I know, but really, it was my subconscious, I don’t really have much to do with it. David (here at DDA) was playing the part of my basketball coach, and he promptly removed me from the team.  I’m not sure what the dream meant, I just thought it was funny.

I don’t generally dream about work, unless there’s a big project that I’m stressed over, then I tend to dream about things that relate to work, but aren’t actually work, like dreaming about the pizza place I worked at as a teenager, and being unable to perform my job in some way.  I think it all is very related to how personal each and every programming project is to me.  After putting so much effort into something, I get very attached to it.  I take great pride in my work, and any piece of bad code or error I take very personally, so I always strive to work cleanly and efficiently, so that each project comes out to the best of my ability.  The general consensus at DDA is that we go the extra mile for our clients, giving them above and beyond their expectations.
