Recovery: snow and work

It feels strange working on a Friday with the entire crew.  Of course it doesn’t really feel like Friday, it feels more like a Monday since I’ve had two days “off’.”  Yesterday was very productive from home, however, which in all honesty, is often more productive than at work simply because I don’t have people running into my office or on the phone so often that I’m having to take time to get reintegrated into my work. I was home with Luke though, so I did have the “check this out” phrase being uttered every so often as he sat and played World of Warcraft all day.  He did manage to level twice and decided that he did, after all, like fist weapons, but that’s neither here nor there for this blog.

I considered yesterday to be the great “catch up” day.  Even though I only worked from about 8 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m., I knocked off several items from my list that continued to linger as I struggled through some of the other bigger tasks in the interactive medical website category.  Although I didn’t get through all of the work I wanted to, and there’s always more to do, I felt like my day off was very productive and I got to do it all in my pajamas, and still have time to join Luke’s questing for a few hours before dinner.
