The Week Begins…

Over the weekend, the world suffered another tragedy, losing one of its most influential U.S. citizens, a pop culture icon.  That’s right, Billy Mays was found dead at his home on Sunday morning.  Without him, who would know about the wonders of Mighty Putty, or the amazing cleaning powers of Kaboom.  Such a sad day to miss out on one of the many hundreds of pitch men we see every morning at 3 a.m. when sleeping becomes impossible.  Seriously though, this weekend seemed to have nothing but bad news every time I turned on the television.  Thank goodness for American Ninja and previously recorded Big Bang Theory.

So as we turn our thoughts to happier things, the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots (thank goodness we don’t have to deal with systematic hatred like this in today’s world … oh wait…), today’s brand new national holiday in Iraq (due to the ‘pullout’ of American troops) and The Transformers’ huge opening (apparently they are more than meets the eye), we begin our work week with a breath of fresh optimism.  Today begins hopefully the home stretch on Coldfusion data gathering portions of a continuing medical education site.  There is a Flash-based interactive section to follow but a lot of that will be done by someone else.  Of course I will be in charge of making sure that the data gets placed where it needs to, and reporting will be available.  So to sum up, lots to do before our long 4th of July weekend (hooray for independence!)
