All of That… For What?
This past weekend, I attended my cousin’s local wedding. The flowers were beautiful, everyone was all dressed up and polished, food was great, drinks were flowing and emotions were high.
Compared to the circus act that I am planning for my own wedding, her wedding was small. Four bridesmaids and just over 100 guests danced the night away in celebration of the couple’s union. After many months of planning and thousands of dollars spent, then poof… just like that and it’s over. All you are left with are drooping flowers, leftover favors and nothing but memories. I’m sure if you ask any bride, it’s all worth it in the end.
Okay, so how does this relate to website design, search engine marketing, trade show displays or any of the other digital services DDA provides? Well, when you think about all of the money that website owners spend on pay-per-click programs, the numbers can be astounding. I am not a pay-per-click expert by any means, but when I hear figures being tossed around on how many cents or dollars are spent for someone to click on your link, it seems silly to me.
Since I am a Search Engine Optimization Specialist at a search engine marketing company, I know that these programs are not a necessity when trying to achieve higher rankings in the search engines. For our clients in the SureThing Optimization Program, we achieve organic rankings in the major search engines without using pay-per-click programs. Our affordable monthly website optimization program implements optimization techniques needed for websites to gradually climb the rankings and eventually make it to the top of search engine listings.
