What is SEO?

According to an online dictionary, SEO, or search engine optimization is:

Definition: the process of choosing targeted keywords and keyword phrases related to a Web site so the site will rank high when those terms are part of a Web search; abbr. SEO.

This term can mean different things to different people. To anyone outside of the world of website optimization, this term equals “huh?” To website designers created website designs for a company that also implements website optimization, it means to include keyword-rich content, focused meta tags and keyword rich alt text. For clients of a website optimization company, such as DDA and its Search Engine Optimization Program, it means high rankings in the search engines.
