Among all of the great video and audio technology available to us here at DDA, one of the most useful pieces of equipment is our external HDV hard disk recorder. Don’t be fooled by its small size; this powerful portable hard drive allows our cameras to record onto both tape and the hard drive simultaneously - allowing almost 5 full hours of continuous HDV, DVCAM, or DV recording. This potentially saves us hours of capturing raw video in post. The best part is - we still have a master backup on tape!
