Fluid and Full Screen

Two of the medical eLearning/medical simulation sites we are currently working on are designed to be fluid and full-screen enabled. Basically this means that if the user is viewing the site in standard view, not full-screen, menus, buttons and design elements change their position based on the dimensions of the user’s browser window. If they should re-size their browser window, the website will adjust accordingly.

If the user is in full screen mode, they are rewarded with a large viewing area and design that aesthetically fills the screen. The menus and buttons all stick to the edges and provide a large canvas in which to display the highly visual training material, giving the user a memorable and immersive experience. This feature opens interesting possibilities of creating an interactive website based on the user changing their browser window dimensions and alternating between full-screen and standard view modes.
