A Topographical Topic
I am really excited about this 3D medical animation we are currently working on for a client. I’ve done medical animations before, but not with this amount of detail. Basically, as I model, I have to really keep an eye out for what I’ll need to animate in the future.
Animation, especially medical animation, is really dependent on object geometry and topography. The way things are modeled can make or break an animation, so I’m really trying to focus on maintaining model topography and “flow” across the polygons.
For this project, there are a lot of interconnected pieces and a lot of muscle movements that in turn move other parts of the model. I’ll have to keep a close eye on my modeling and use a lot of reference material if I am to really make this 3D medical animation come to life!
