A Woman’s Work is Never Done
My husband asked me yesterday evening if I got all my DDA work done for the day. My first reaction was to say, “Yes!” but, then I remembered a few emails that still need to be reviewed and responded to, a laundry list of DDA website additions and improvements that need to be taken care of, updates to a interactive website tool that is very near design approval and on and on and on. Not to mention posting in my blog that has taken me all day to write.
Just like the well-known adage, “A woman’s work is never done” I think I can speak for all DDAers when I say “A DDA staffer’s work is never done”! We are constantly quoting projects, meeting with clients, designing brochures, reviewing production proofs, blogging, fulfilling client requests for design changes, welcomed or not. So, the answer to my husband’s question, “Is your work done?”, is , thankfully, NO! Our client work and internal design and website improvement work is on-going and perpetual just like the 3 loads of laundry waiting for me in my basement or the clothes in the closet that need ironing or the toys that need to be put away, and on and on and on.
