Melting Pot of Talents

When I was little I really disliked when the different types of food on my dinner plate touched each other. Every food item needed their own personal space. I thought of that today as I’m sitting here eating my lunch (yes, it’s 10:45am and I’m eating lunch, which is what happens when you eat breakfast at 5am). My lunch today consists of rice, corn and BBQ Chicken all mixed up into one bowl and with each spoonful I try to get a little of everything. How far I have come from the days of segregated dinner plates!

Imagine, if you would, what it would be like if DDA was structured as a child’s dinner plate. Each department working solely in their own area, never touching or interacting with one another. A graphic designer with a programmer won’t get very far and a programmer without a graphic designer, well, that would just be wrong. Luckily at DDA we have matured into a melting pot, if you will, of talents that overlap, intertwine and sometimes touch. Just today I am working with our Flash Animation designers to put the finishing touches on DDA Coffee. Crystal, my print project coordinator and keeper of all important things, works with me to make sure all of our print projects such as brochures, banner stands and calendars are sent to production for on-time client delivery. And what would I do without our copywriting department or our video and photography studio. I just don’t want to think about it.
