One Step at a Time

I knew it was going to be any day now and just this morning my brave little 13-month old took his first steps all by himself. They weren’t polished by any means and he finished with a thump onto his behind, but I can now officially say he has taken his 2 first steps. From experience I know he will now be running around the house in no time, discovering various ways to go up and down the staircase, jumping on and off the bed and climbing in, out, on top of and around everything he can find. What an exciting time for him!

Today, I had the honor to design a Memorial Site for our coworker’s fiance who was tragically killed 2 weeks ago. All of the processes that I have in place for designing a website didn’t ready me for this project. There was no official menu, a target audience of heart-broken family members and loved ones and a desire to create a place for those needing comfort to go and find peace. So, I took it one step at a time, looked through all the photos and slideshow provided and while I have only met Crystal’s fiance once I feel like I know him. As this website project unfolds and static design concepts come to life by our Flash animation department, my hope is that it becomes filled with guestbook entries and stories of shared memories.
