Today, I want the long straw
Last night, I somehow picked the short straw and while my husband got to take our 4-year old son to soccer practice, I was left with our youngest to go grocery shopping. Blah. There was no more procrastinating as there was not a drop of juice to be found in the house nor any fruit nor other necessaries. While I do enjoy the act of putting items into the cart, I completely despise lugging it all into the house and then putting it all away and somewhere around the dairy aisle my 1 1/2 yr old decided he had enough of sitting and wanted to run away and get lost. I did too, but instead I coaxed him along with the promise of ice cream when we got home, which he absolutely remembered and located the ice cream like a drug-sniffing dog.
Flash forward about 16 hours to DDA’s headquarters in Southampton, PA and I do believe I picked the long straw today because what lies ahead of me are near final adjustments to a variety of print, web and interactive media projects. A group of logo designs were sent to a client for review who called upon DDA to provide them with a new logo, business card, letterhead, brochure and website. So, as I await their feedback, I am happy to see a task list full of projects needing my attention and a busy afternoon of designing ahead of me. There might even be a trip to Target after work while my husband is home to prepare dinner (in the form of a delivered pizza), take the kids to soccer and then wrestle them into the tub and to bed!
