definition of an artist

I find myself surrounded by the most amazing talent everyday here at DDA. We pride ourselves on being a full service advertising agency, meaning that we can provide everything you need from beginning to end of any project. I am continually amazed at the quality and innovation that seems to ooze out of each talented artist. When I use the term artist, most will think of a graphic artist. Certainly that is one’s most predominant impression, yet it is hardly the only group that fits the definition. So, this week, I will use definitions to try to expound the talents of the staff here at DDA.

The definition of an artist found in our faithful dictionary reads as follows: artist |¹ärtist|noun, a person who produces paintings or drawings as a profession or hobby. • a person who practices any of the various creative arts, such as a sculptor, novelist, poet, or filmmaker. • a person skilled at a particular task or occupation. • a performer, such as a singer, actor, or dancer. Of course, our amazing graphic artists are the epitome of talent that just oozes. Every design always shows the essence of each client at one glance, always with coherence, beauty and harmony. Let us not forget the artistic talents of our copywriters, that create scripts and content that keep us captivated while educating us at the same time. The videographers and animators that entertain and mesmerize us with their tricks and lighting, and the performers, like our spokesperson, who is both beautiful and intelligent. But maybe the most overlooked artists are our outstanding programmers who always create pure magic, and make it look so easy.

Thanks to all the DDA artists who make everything beautiful.
