Tomorrow and Monday I will be away on business, so today I am busy trying to wrap up projects as much as possible. Some will be complete while others will be in a suspended state of ‘client approval’. I reached a good stopping point for a brochure and brochure insert, I spent a lot more time proofing a large site we recently updated, I made edits to spec sheets that have been on hiatus for months and also made client requested adjustments to a CD entrapment. The day isn’t over yet, and I hope to resume work on a postcard project, make a few small website edits and hopefully hear back from a couple of clients on other hiatus projects.
I’d also like to take this time to start a countdown for a Graphic Design class I will be attending this Fall. It’s funny, when I was majoring in Illustration, Graphic Design was the last thing on my mind. I was kind of interested in taking a typography class for various reasons, but it miraculously clashed with mandatory Illustration classes each year. Now that I am out of college, I am starving for more art knowledge. I can only imagine how much I can absorb from taking a Graphic Design class. I can’t wait to see how it is going to positively affect my performance with design. I will also be taking a week long Flash class in November. The classes will clash on two Mondays, but I think it’ll be worth while anyway.
Countdown: Graphic Design Class – 18 DDA Days
And tonight is the very last night to wrap up my hobby project. I am very skeptical about getting everything finished on time because I only gave myself 4 days to complete it. (One and a half of those days were spent running around finding last minute supplies.) There is still much to do, but so far everything has been going smoothly. (Knock on iMac) I am going to speed hope right after work and probably be up all night. Or maybe not.
