Using Today’s Technologies in Meaningful Ways
Quick Response Codes (QRCs), mobile applications, virtual browsers, augmented reality; innovative ideas are surely taking off in the digital fast-paced world we live in. Yes, these ideas are cool, but “cool” isn’t always enough to sell savvy consumers. These marketing tactics need to be backed by substance and intelligence to be successfull. Aside from a web shortcut, what’s the value in a QRC that takes a smartphone user to a website? Rather, a QRC displayed on the packaging of a product that takes a smartphone user to a video in which he/she can listen to and watch the product in action is a QRC that can actually give a consumer confidence in making a smart buying decision.
