CD-ROMs Offer Mega Interactivity

An interactive CD-ROM is the perfect way to present your company or products to the consumer in an eye catching yet easy to navigate interface. The beauty of CD-ROM is the interactivity. Users can view videos, images, PDFs, and listen to sounds all at their own leisure. DDA has produced everything from CD-ROM catalogs to training CD-ROMS and more.

Recently, we have been working on a CD-ROM for a bell manufacturer. The CD-ROM features a video that outlines general care and maintenance instructions for your bell. It also features sound clips of the bells in use, PDF brochures about the bells and even a coupon for bell accessories. The interface was designed by our talented graphic designers and then created by out flash animators. The end result is an effective marketing tool that will have customers saying “wow!”.

DDA in 60 Seconds

Good news! After several months of script writing, graphic design, storyboarding, 2D and 3D animation, and sound design, the DDA commercial is finally complete! Everyone involved did a fantastic job and I am so pleased with the final product. Not only does it perfectly sum up what DDA is all about, it is also incredibly entertaining. Every time you watch it, you see something new.

Now comes the task of integrating it into each website for DDA’s 7 divisions. A link to the video will be placed on the main page for DDA Corporate, DDA Medical, DDA Video, DDA CMT, DDA SEM, DDA Apps and DDA USA. This will give first time visitors to the site an idea of what the company is all about in under 60 seconds. So keep an eye out at any of DDA’s 7 divisions for DDA in 60 seconds!

Watch How the Pros Do it

Andrew and I have just returned from an on location video shoot in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Since the shoot was outdoors, we feared that summer rain would bring production to a halt, but the skies stayed clear. Too clear actually. As each day went on, the temperature rose, along with the humidity, and we began to sizzle. Regardless, I can’t complain about a sunny day and we managed to get a variety of footage including the installation of gutters, windows and doors.

Each installation has a very specific process and I was impressed with the skill of the professionals at work. They made each installation seem effortless.

Over the two days, we managed to shoot about 5 hours of footage including some crane shots that look pretty darn cool! Now our post production team will tackle the task of editing the footage into short 3 to 4 minute videos. Our team of copywriters is currently at work developing a script that will be used for a voice-over done by one of the actors in our network. When all is said and done, the client will have several sharp looking promotional videos for use on their website and in their showroom.
