Everything Under One Roof

For the past two months I’ve shared groceries and meals with 4 other adults and 3 kids. We pooled a small amount of money — about 1/2 or 1/3 what I’d normally spend, and bought items that we all liked. I’d thought of organizing something like this for over a year, either with my coworkers or my neighbors, and I thought of joining a co-op, so it has been exciting to finally follow through on this idea, and now I have a real model to follow. It’s a better solution than I ever dreamed. I contributed far less money than I thought I’d need to, spent far less time shopping and far less time cooking. I’ve been eating 3 well-balanced meals each day with little thought put into it, and I’ve been eating far better quality food. Why don’t more people do this? I’m really not sure. In fact, I’m dying of curiosity to find out. I’ve heard many people complain about how hard it is to come home from work and then cook a meal, even with the help of someone else at home, how expensive food has become, and how hard it is to make time to eat healthily. Are most of us so conditioned to do what we’ve always done that we don’t grab onto better solutions? I think that is why I resisted trying it for over one year.

DDA follows a similar comprehensive and holistic structure. Because we’re all under one roof and sharing resources with each other, we’ve developed processes that allow us to increase our efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.  DDA hasn’t followed the trend of outsourcing work, hiring freelancers, and downsizing. This is as good for clients as it is for employees. A streamlined process leaves energy to nurture creativity, and allows errors to be avoided or caught before it’s too late. We’re familiar with each others’ strengths and weaknesses, and as a result, clients get higher quality work at a lower price and shorter timeline. This also makes DDA very reliable. Friends of mine who have done a lot of contracting with people overseas, have expressed how inevitably there are more breakdowns in communication and availability, resulting in having to scramble to find other options when they least expect it. This doesn’t happen with DDA, so there is less stress both internally and for clients. This is why DDA was named “One of the Ten Most Dependable Search Engine Marketing Firms in the U.S.” by Goldline Research. Click here to read about the award.

8 Divisions, Over 100 Services — C’mon, really??

That’s DDA’s claim (watch DDA in 60 seconds).  Pretty impressive. Can you trust that? Have you ever contacted a company and wondered how experienced they are in all of the services they offer? As you consider investing your time and money, have you nervously wondered whether they really specialize in one or two areas, but they claim expertise in many more?

DDA offers comprehensive advertising services, and you can feel confident knowing that we are well versed in all areas. Every day, the varied projects that come our way ensure this.  My task list today is a great example; today, I have 13 projects on my list. Several are well-established, large companies, and several are new business ventures by individuals. The business specialties range from check management, pain management, medical devices, yoga, jewelry, product coatings, roof coatings, to grout. I’ve been asked to make a “tribal-looking” logo,  to enhance an existing design, and to create a new identity. The projects include brochureswebsiteslogos, an ecommerce website, a video presentation, and a sell sheet. The particular clients are using DDA’s expertise for search engine marketingwebsite design and developmentwebsite improvementprogrammingmarketing and brandinggraphic designcopywritingphotography, and video/webcasting. Wow — that’s at least half of DDA’s services, listed on our website, right there. You can be confident that every service listed on DDA’s website is there because there is a need for it and that we have a lot of experience putting it into practice!

An Interactive Experience

For the Fringe Festival, I went to a Samuel Beckett play called “Company”, about a man reliving his journey from birth to death, within the confines of his mind, perceptions, and memories. The play explores the the mystery and confusion that we all experience because of our limited perceptions as human beings, and the mind’s nature to imagine in that space. As the man lies in the dark, his mind keeps him company, but further confuses his experience of reality.

Instead of the audience sitting and watching as spectators, we were invited to experience the play through hearing, touch, and movement. We were given blindfolds and the lights were turned off. I put the blindfold on, and was led by an actor around the room until I was disoriented, then directed to lie down on the floor with a pillow and blanket. Soft music played, and a voice narrated. The person who led me around the room stayed by my side, and from time to time whispered in my ear, or moved my hands and legs to mimic the actions described by the narrator. It was an intimate and interactive way to experience a play.

Similarly, your experience visiting a website or watching a video can be enhanced by interactive elements. Being given the opportunity to engage in an interface, listen or watch a person speak about a product or service, can make the experience memorable, unique, and fun. Take a look at DDA’s website portfolio and video portfolio to get your imagination going.
