Thanks to Virtual Simulations and Mobile Applications

This Thanksgiving, there’s much to be thankful for.

Thanks to the virtual medical simulations we developed for our clients this year, physicians from the United Kingdom, Slovena, Turkey, Germany, Holland, and the United States will learn the steps and techniques involved in performing effective radiology interventions through the use of live 3D image needle guidance. By participating in the virtual medical simulations we developed either individually and remotely or in group workshops, these physicians are actually enjoying learning about the latest technology through a hands-on approach. With a firm skill set in place, they can apply this technology to perform complex vascular/non-vascular/embolization/oncology procedures and provide excellent clinical care with improved patient outcomes.

Thanks to the mobile applications we developed for our clients this year, we’re able to help businesses reach customers and clients on the go, whether they are using an iPad or iPhone, Android or another Smartphone. Through our mobile application design and development services, we have successfully converted interactive and eLearning tools built for the Web into mobile apps with the same user friendly navigation and we have effectively created mobile apps from the ground up that are popular downloads from the App store with their given genre or industry segment. By appealing to clients and customers on the go, we are able to help businesses large and small, young and old meet the needs of a fast-paced society.

ad-ver-tis-ing

ad-ver-tis-ing noun

1. the action of calling something to the attention of the public especially by paid announcements in print, broadcast, or electronic media
2. persuasive, informative, and designed to influence purchasing behavior or thought patterns

Depending on the publisher - merriam/webster, wikipedia, etc.  - the term “advertising” is defined differently, but the one constant is that it is a form of communication. Vague, yes, but in this ambiguity lies a world of potential. Dynamic Digital Advertising (DDA) is an advertising agency, and by today’s standards, we create everything from trade ads in magazines to simulations in virtual learning environments (VLEs). Not to mention, we do all of this work in house by degreed professionals who have a sense of humor, an eye for aesthetic appeal, and a brain that operates on the creative and technical cutting edge. The advertising we produce is sometimes entertaining and other times educational, but it is always innovative and totally unique.

A few years back, I lent a helping hand in the new business development department at our agency and recently, I’ve found myself assisting again as needed. Am I a sales person? No. What I enjoy most is learning about a slew of different companies - companies that make the world go round. I get my kicks out of understanding the dynamics of said company - the way it operates, the staff, the services or products, and so on. How and why a company wants to advertise is also intriguing. Some believe that if you’re not online, you’re dead. Others stand by there print materials as they would that old, trusty baseball glove they used when they were 12-years-old. Some travel to trade shows with a trailer of graphics and banners expertly designed by our graphic artists. Others sign into one of our custom animated and programmed virtual trade shows from their home or corporate office. We get requests for our services from start-ups in California interested in logo and website design to major international brands in Europe that need sophisticated eLearning platforms with multi-player gaming activities, and everything and everyone in between.

Regardless of how you define “advertising,” DDA can help you persuade, inform, and/or influence your target audience through any medium you desire. Contact us as 215-355-6442 and ask to speak with our new business development team. Perhaps you might even get me on the other end of the line! We’re ready and able to help you maximize your advertising potential.

What you Can’t Say

A long running copywriting project at our interactive marketing and advertising agency is to generate search engine optimized descriptions of past and present projects. Some descriptions are more difficult to write than others. For instance, if the project at hand is one that was completed in 2000 and unfamiliar to me, then time must be expended to find out who was involved, what services were utilized, and why the item was designed or developed in a particular manner. This basic information is important in a description as it paints the outline of the project picture. The color and the space between the lines that gives life to the picture lies in the details. Certain details are more appropriate or relevant than others, but sometimes I just wish you could say it all…

I can recall a logo design we did in 2006 where the client wanted the image to look like his own bulldog, so much so that the type  (a brindel bulldog) and color  (a very particular tan) was perfectly on mark and his pet could walk proud as the mascot. I can remember a website design we did in 2007 where the industrial manufacturing client needed to make sure that his mom liked the look of the site before giving his final stamp of approval or a trade show video we produced in 2010 for a correctional healthcare company that was reviewed and approved by Shaq. Then there are projects in which the client dictates everything down to the most minute detail that the result fails to resemble the level of quality we typically produce. In turn, there are clients that give us the freedom to explore the possibilities and the results exceed even our own expectations.

Each project brings with it a web of intricacies, sometimes standard, sometimes strange. Our project descriptions in our portfolios help new site visitors get a better understanding of what was involved in producing the end product and inform them of what can be done within the confines of our office, a set deadline, and a team of creative and technical professionals. These descriptions can be found in the DDA Grid, Latest and Greatest, our Corporate Portfolio, our Corporate and Medical Training Portfolio, our Medical Portfolio, and the Universal Portfolio. Check them out!

p.s. I often chuckle to think of writing a very thorough project description - including ALL of the nitty-gritty details however crazy they may be - and wonder if it would impart a down-to-earth quality that’s often missing in the business world :) Ah, to think!
