Endless Hallway

Some projects seem to be ever-evolving. The end always appears to be near, but whenever you get close it just grows or changes again in some new way to just push it back again. A six-month project becomes a one-year project, then becomes a two-year project, and then by the time you hit two and a half years you can only think that this nightmare will never actually end. You almost want to resign yourself to believe that this is just a 5-year project so that any new changes that come your way will no longer be considered a surprise modification or addition. It feels like one of those dream sequences where you are in a hallway trying to get to the end, but the hallway just keeps stretching out in the distance out of reach no matter how fast you try to run. It’s frustrating. You just want it to end to put the final stamp on it and show off the prized final piece.

At least we have plenty of other projects to show off until the times comes for the never-ending project to end. We have projects of all types for you to take a look at. We have done and still do things like Flash animation, video editing, digital photography, custom programming, copywriting, custom web design, and more. So browse through one of our numerous portfolios to see our past successes. If you would like to be added to our list of successes, then give us a call or visit today and see what we can do for you. Mutant Rambo

This weekend, I happened to sit and watch a Rambo movie marathon. I watched the first movie to the fourth movie back to back and I find that they are still great action movies to this day. The third one is my least favorite and the newer one has some bad acting and dialogue, but the first two are the best. I found it really funny seeing Sylvester Stallone age rapidly when going from the third to the fourth movie. It wasn’t that he looked that much older exactly, he just looked so different from his younger self. He was larger in general. I don’t just mean body weight, I mean his actual head seemed bigger and also a little more deformed. His face now looked like caricature interpretation of his old face. It looked like every feature was exaggerated. I don’t think he’s been actually boxing seriously, which would be one reason why his face may have looked messed up and swollen. I think his whole new enlarged self is due to taking HGH, the human growth hormone. I had heard of his promotion of this and that he takes it himself and now seeing the stark comparison to his old self I can tell you that that stuff must work. He certainly has grown, though I don’t know if it was really a good thing. I can see why a meat head would take the stuff for bulking up, but frankly it looks like it slowly turns you into a mutant. I don’t think they will list becoming a mutant as a side effect though. In fact, I doubt it’s regulated at all or approved by the FDA. So user beware, you may end up looking like a mutant or Mickey Rourke.

This is Snow, Not Rain!!!

The weatherman really messed up this time. All I heard and read yesterday was how it was going to rain today starting around 11am and be over freezing temperatures for most of the day and then the snow would start around 5pm and be heavy then. I was still only hearing totals of maybe 4 inches. It didn’t seem like a big deal at all and might just make the commute home at night a little sloppy or the commute the next morning challenging. This forecast was way off. I wake up this morning and when I come upstairs to leave I already see about 3 inches of snow on the ground. All I could think was “What’s going on?” I cleared the car off and headed out to work. Over the course of the next 2 1/2 hrs, that’s right 2 1/2 hrs, I slowly made my way to work. The maximum speed I hit during the whole trip was 25 miles per hour. That’s the maximum. Most the the time, I couldn’t even tell how slow I was going because my car’s speedometer doesn’t mark speeds under 10 mph. The longer I drove, the worse traffic got and the snow wasn’t stopping. People trying to get to work at 8 were now mixing with the people trying to get to work at 9 and it was becoming a mass of super congestion. I saw a few people in the other direction getting stuck from no traction on the way up a hill. Luckily I was going downhill. The mix of low speed, tons of cars, and stop lights made it an agonizingly slow trip. I finally made it though I almost slid too far past the driveway. Ugh. I am afraid to see what the heavy stuff around 5 pm looks like when the rain in the morning ended up being 3 inches of snow. We might end up with a foot of snow for all I know. At least they’ve finally revised their snow total forecasts up a bit. It’s much easier to forecast when it’s happening right in front of your face though.

DDA is closing tomorrow since more snow will happen overnight, but will make up the day on Friday. Then we will finish the week’s work of 3D animation, custom web design, custom programming, copywriting, video editing, and more. We can handle any digital project you need to have done. Just give us a call or visit and see what we can do for you.
