This week I’ve dabbled in New Business Development. Typically, it is rare that I formulate a quote unless it is a new request from an existing client, but this week it seems many are in the market for site updates, video creation, and more. I am always pleased to receive these requests. It means that we’ve done our job and clients are returning to us because they trust in our creative ability and talent. After an unplanned absence from work last Thursday, I am feeling rather out of the loop. I have spent my morning trying to remember where I left off on Wednesday. Luckily, in my absence everything continued to progress. Changes and updates that I was working on for clients were completed everything seems to be in place. Print proofs for various projects were reviewed and forwarded to clients for their approval.

I have a sense of relief as I sort through emails and tasklists. I know that our trained and degreed staff of copywriters, project coordinators, search engine optimization specialists, designers, programmers, videographers, and photographers were capable of picking up where I left off in order to get project completed.

It is Thursday and I am very grateful for that. You can probably tell from my other blogs that this week has not been the greatest. To add to it, I injured myself on the replacement car last night and now cannot wear shoes on my right foot. And as I hobbled out the door this morning running late, I came out to find police cars positioned at the top of my driveway to block my street. So waiting for them to let me out of my driveway was another inconvenience that I was not in the mood for.

So, while I do not participate in Thursday beer hour with all of our copywriters, programmers, SEO specialists, designers, and videographers, I am still glad to see the week come to an end. All of my problems started last Friday, so hopefully this Friday brings me better times. If all goes well, my car will get repaired tonight and everything can return to normal.
