Wait, What did I Come in Here for?
I used to have a sharp memory. Now, I move from the living room to the kitchen and suddenly forget why. Maybe, I am just getting old, or maybe there’s just a lot to remember. I choose the latter, please.
At work, I do not take kindly to forgetting, which is why I fancy the homemade lists, which I tape to my monitor, desk, wherever there is available room, reminding me that a proposal for a DVD is due that afternoon, or that I need to finish a script draft or an outline for a brochure.
OK, before I go any further, I just want to say it’s not that bad. For me, it’s more of the fear of forgetting that keeps me constantly pinching myself. Like everyone else at DDA, I juggle a lot of balls and dropping one is not something I’m fond of.
Luckily, I have plenty of backup here. Our system is so streamlined for all of our projects from programming to print production to design that forgetting really isn’t an option.
Everyone assigned to a particular project is hands-on and actively involved, so it’s like having a built-in safety net for any of those balls that might just slip by.
