Location, Location, Location!

Monday, May 5th, 2008

This past weekend, I went into the city (Philadelphia) for my mom’s birthday one day and for lunch with my girlfriends another. When first in center city and then in the Northeast, I realized what a convenience it is to be able to travel to and from the city in about 45 minutes to an hour from my home. I thoroughly enjoy being able to be a part of all the hustle and bustle of the city just as much as I love the quiet, but unique festivities of the Bucks County suburbs.

Dynamic Digital Advertising (DDA) is located between my home and the city in Southampton. This location lends itself well to easy travelling for clients in the city limits and clients in more suburban and rural environments. Our full-service advertising agency serves clients in large corporations and small business, as well as those from all industry segments. With services that run the gamut from copywriting, graphic design, and website design to search marketing, video production, and animation, DDA not only has an ideal location, but a complete service offering for all advertising and marketing needs.

In 2008, we’ve come a long way from when my grandfather was an advertising executive and had to travel to the city every day because that was the heart of where businesses thrived. Today, businesses large and small are found on urban blocks and suburban street corners. DDA’s location enables us to reach them all.

Doing the right thing

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

They say bad habits die hard. It should also be said that good habits are a laborious birth. At DDA, doing the right thing is NOT a matter of unlearning bad habits, but rather the articulated and dedicated practice of doing the right thing.

Most advertising agencies are born of deception and subterfuge. Example after example abounds of new agencies being formed by one or two account representatives who steal a few clients and set up a business of their own. The ease of doing this is enhanced by the fact that almost by definition, advertising agencies often don’t really do the marketing or advertising design and production themselves. Outside design and production houses, like DDA, serve the advertising agency industry by providing in-depth graphic design, photography, video production, 2D and 3D animation, programming, search marketing, copywriting, website design, ecommerce and other services. DDA provides them all.

Guaranteed, immediate clients and a readily available source of design and production make for an easy advertising agency business start-up. What is difficult is servicing the clients well over the long term and sustaining growth. What is wrong is the perpetuation of all of the bad habits the founders of the breakaway agency learned at their former place of employment and integrated into their new work process and client relationship procedures.

In this way bad habits not only die hard, they are perpetuated and spawned. Some of the bad habits may have actually been more benign at the original advertising agency due to the large size, or specific nature of the clients and industries they serve. When transferred to a smaller, less capable environment, they can mutate and become malignant.

Here’s the irony; the backgrounds of the founders at DDA are an organic mix of corporate marketing, B2B and B2C advertising, retail store and manufacturing ownership and general business management and consulting. NO advertising agency experience, no breakaway business start-up, no mutated process and poor client relationship habits.

After fourteen years of steady and sustained growth, innovation, and pioneering processes and procedures, DDA has all but reinvented the advertising agency. After fourteen years we are still fresh, eager, energized, and creating new habits daily by always striving to do the right thing.

Finding Yourself in Keywords

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Keywords need to be focused and relate to the products or services your company offers and also need to be heavily searched by users. Say, for instance, you own a real estate company and are trying to find keywords that relate to your company. The term “real estate” is definitely one keyword to use, but Google shows more than 538 million results for that term. The internet is over-saturated with “real estate” related websites, so you need to focus the keywords for better search engine optimization results. If your real estate company primarily targets luxury homes, then consider using the term luxury real estate or boutique real estate. A quick search in Google finds that “luxury real estate” has over 1 million results and “boutique real estate” has over 1/2 million results. This is much more manageable since the search engine is not flooded with results for those two search terms.

Not only that, but when a user is presented with 538 million search results, it is likely they will not find what they need and will hone their search to something more specific, like luxury real estate. Because you’ve made the smart move to focus on that keyword phrase, chances are you will be found with proper search engine optimization.

I DARE You

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Many years ago (at least ten), we included a feature in the DDA website called DDA Dare. Dare stood for Digital Agencies Requesting Exposure. It offered a listing on our website, to any other agency worldwide that offered all of the digital advertising services that we offered.

Due to the significant amount of traffic that our website receives, the DARE feature was exposed to thousands of competitors. Over the years a small number of design and advertising companies across the world have applied for the honor and advertising exposure the DARE program offered.

When researched by us, not a single one offered anything approaching the spectrum of advertising services offered by DDA. Further emphasizing this distinction is the fact that every one of our advertising and marketing services is done in-house. Branding, logo design, website design, trade show graphics, programming, copy writing, research, search engine optimization and search marketing, illustration, CD development, photography, video, DVDs, 2D and 3D animation, and more is all done by degreed, experienced, professional, full-time, year-round DDA employees.

As with all advertising and marketing projects, it is the results that are most important. DDA’s extreme capability and combination of services results in innovation, the development of hybrid technologies, and in products and services that outperform our client’s competitors in their respective industries.

Anyone can build a website. Find another organization that can build, in-house, a website like http://www.chains-and-charms.com/ that is professionally scripted, video integrated, e-commerce enabled with powerful proprietary programming, copy written with search engine optimized product and marketing content, monitored for usability, hosted, maintained, and tracked and I will…..give them free advertising in DDA DARE.

Client Feedback - The Ulitmate Confirmation Of A Job Well Done

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Today I’m working on a direct mailer for a company working in the medical field. It will be one of a series of four.

Careful consideration went into the content so that a consistent theme carries throughout. DDA writers worked with the client to create content that has the right message and contains accurate data.

It has been satisfying to find out that previous printed mailers we’ve created have received a very positive response for DDA clients. We know we’ve done our job well when we receive that feedback!

DDA also receives similar feedback about websites we’ve created that generate increased traffic, product awareness, and sales. On a personal and professional level, it’s rewarding to hear from a happy client that we’ve built a relationship with over time!

Upcoming Site Launch

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Excitement is rising as we are quickly approaching the launch of a DDA developed e-commerce site for an online purveyor of charm jewelry. This site truly represents DDA’s capabilities and strength as an advertising agency that specializes in all fields. Search engine tailored copywriting, custom database and admin programming, stellar video capture and production, arresting web design, and more all fuse together, creating a website that we anticipate to lead our client to the top of online jewelry retail.

As this project’s coordinator, I have had the pleasure of witnessing the cooperation and effort put forth by practically every department of Dynamic Digital Advertising. The online copywriting experts have developed hundreds upon hundreds of optimized pages of content to ensure this site ranks high in the competitive search marketing realm. Intense and intuitive programming has taken place, creating a navigation system, database, and admin that is truly innovative. Plus, DDA’s design and video production team has transformed this site into one that is visually stimulating and engaging. I anxiously await the launch and I am very excited to see the many elements fused together and the hard work of the DDA team come to fruition.
