Setting Solid Foundations

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Build any house without a solid foundation and you’ll quickly find your walls crumbling. The same goes for website development, corporate and medical video production, graphic designs, and more.  Without the parameters set and the basics confirmed, progress will be slow, shaky, and inefficient.

We set these solid foundations with a kick-off meeting. Conceptual concepts are secured, deadlines are established, and marketing themes confirmed. From here, DDA graphic designers, web developers, and creative and online copywriters have the necessary information needed to lay the first elements of the project.

To ensure a smooth and efficient production process with little to no surprises, we seek client approval with every completed step. Without this system in place, countless of hours could be spent on an undesirable direction. Our goal is to deliver a website, brochure, corporate or medical training program, or tradeshow display that exceed our client’s expectation and the system we have in place guarantees this.

Clear and simple- but yet complicated

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Sometimes things appear so clear and simple- but underneath it all it is so very complicated. Right now, I am working to help make a beautiful website easier to use. The design is clean and elegant and fresh, but  some people can get a little lost. I know for a fact how much detail and effort is going on behind the scenes so that we can make everything perfect. Our designers, programmers, copywriters and web developers are always working together to make everything just right. Our Website Design Company will tweak every last detail until all of the advanced programming, web design, photography, and video work together to make this site exciting, fun, and easy to use. Just another normal day here at DDA.

Just Do IT!

Monday, May 5th, 2008

The Nike slogan, “JUST DO IT” reminds me of our team because at Dynamic Digital Advertising (DDA), we share a set of core values that adhere to the concept of doing.  We arrive on time ready to tackle projects, we enjoy a quick cup of coffee or tea or hot chocolate, and on Mondays there can be a scramble for the asiago bagels, which the bagel place makes in very limited quantities. Then we settle down, find our groove, and work.

It is vital to our success as a team of writers, web developers, videographers, programmers, and graphic designers that we embrace our tasks with efficiency, flexibility, and above all creativity. When I read one of the programmers blogs, I am sometimes met with what I call IT graffiti which even I, realize without understanding it, requires ingenious creativity to assemble. Same thing is true of the hoops our web developers often jump through to get the right balance between design, architecture, and usability for the client’s website.

We make every attempt to understand our clients’ needs, and are confident that we can deliver the results they are looking for. To be the reliable advertising agency that clients think of when they have a project, we have to continuously push the envelope and be ahead of the technology and creative curve. We have become the GO TO advertising agency for many clients, and it is not unusual for clients to depend on DDA for all their print and graphic design and production, and their interactive media, which includes shooting video to add to their websites as well. Yes, day in and day out, at Dynamic Digital Advertising, we just do it!

Mind Your Manners

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

I bought my house four months ago knowing that there were plans for a new house to be built on the empty lot next door. I never thought they would start so soon, but they have.

The past two days they have been starting up their machines at 6:30 a.m. and waking up the neighborhood. This is not a nice way to start the day. And forget any chance of a peaceful morning once they actually start working at 7 a.m. The machines are getting so close to my house that it feels like there is an earthquake with the way everything shakes.

I find it very rude that the developer, who happens to live on the other side of this empty lot, never made any kind gestures to inform the neighborhood of what was coming. It would have been as simple as knocking on a few doors and telling us what his plans were.

We all take pride in knowing that DDA would never treat anyone in this manner. We all make sure that our clients are satisfied with our services. We will not take any step with a project without the clients knowledge and approval. Our programmers, designers, SEO Specialists, and everyone else always take the time to contact a client before proceeding with a project.

No Man or Woman Stands Alone

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

At Dynamic Digital Advertising (DDA), we have a staff of talented and degreed individuals, which include progammers, copywriters, videographers, animation artists, photographers, web developers, search engine optimization specialists, graphic designers, project coordinators, and more. While many advertising agencies employ freelancers that are remotely based and often times disconnected from the work involved in a project aside from that of their own, DDA has all creative team members available in-house for linear production and comprehensive collaboration.

For example, the work I do as an advertising Copywriter for a brochure is not considered seperate from design, but rather part of the whole overall concept. The text supports the illustrations and vice versa so the brochure functions as one cohesive piece that conveys the “right” collective message. This approach is applied to all service areas of our business. No team member, whether they be man or woman, animator or writer, is considered more important than another. We work together to accomplish the objectives of our clients. All pieces of a project are critical to its success, even down to the proofreading done for accurate functionality and spelling.

Our ability to communicate and work together for a common goal is one of the many ways that make DDA the better choice for your advertising needs. We are a team of professionals that have obtained degrees from around the world and have come together to work on a level playing field and provide the very best quality work for our clients.

DDA Implements a European-like Schedule

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Happy Thursday! Before working at DDA as an advertising Copywriter, I never thought I’d be saying those words. Our 8-6, Monday-Thursday work schedule is something that I’ve come to appreciate more than I ever thought I would. During our work days, all the members of our staff (including programmers, web developers, search engine optimization specialists, graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and more) put in a hard day’s work from addressing client needs as they come up to being exceptionally creative on the spot in the projects with which they are involved.

With this schedule, dinner may not get on the table as early as one’s hunger may like and there are some Pennsylvania winter days that the only sunlight you see is on your lunch break, but having three days to recoup and refocus is a lifestyle that I wouldn’t want to trade. For me, it’s the perfect balance of work and play. Furthermore, in order to generate creative copywriting on a daily basis, one needs to stay fresh and ready to write about any topic at the drop of a hat. I truely feel that I am able to write better as a result of this balance in my life.

When clients first contact us and we explain our schedule, some express their concern (which we are often able to alieviate as we are on call as needed on Fridays and even the weekend in extreme situations), but most say that they wish their employer would implement a similar schedule in their organization. In Europe, this type of schedule is far more common than in the U.S. Try to shop in parts of France during lunch and you may find closed doors, or attempt to do business with a Swedish company in the month of July and you may have trouble getting your objectives accomplished. Why? Because other countries realize that the right balance between work and play is key to sucessful organizations.

Perhaps more businesses in the U.S. should adjust their way of thinking with regards to the work week. They may find, as we have, more productive employees and better quality work.

DDA is the Creative Extension of your Business

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

In addition to holding a Lead Copywriter position at DDA, I oversee client projects from start to finish as Project Coordinator and, in many cases, provide long-term assistance for projects that extend from which they initially contacted us for into other areas of advertising. This service ensures that projects come to fruition in a timely manner and that the enthusiasm for the objective at hand is maintained for an end product of exceptional quality.

I take pride in my work and that of every member of our creative in-house team, which includes programmers, web developers, graphic designers, search engine optimization specialists, videographers, animation artists, photographers, and more. It is my goal in every project to be sure that the client is so happy with the end result and the work involved that they employ our services for all of their advertising initiatives, allowing us to build powerful Marketing Systems that transform their business.

To me there’s no greater satisfaction than knowing you and your team had such a positive impact on a company that they return to carry on their advertising campaigns for years to come. One of my favorite things in life is to see a  company of great people reach levels of success that they never thought possible. At DDA, we don’t like to consider ourselves to be an outsourced vendor, but rather the creative extension of your business.
