This morning I woke up a little earlier than usual and decided to snooze before my alarm went off. This process led me into one of those dreams that one should never have before work, because it’s about work. I dreamt that I woke up and went down the hall where Luke had his light on and was sleeping on his mattress on the floor (he’d taken it off his loft bed). I went back to my room and my chest of drawers now had a computer on it. I headed back into the hall and my fellow DDA’ers were in full DDA Medical work mode, which also meant that someone was using my bathroom and I couldn’t get in for my shower. I was going to be late for work, only my work was there. Apparently the annoyance woke me up for real, so I decided to start my day, only to find my shadow kept tripping me, and its name is Sugar. Once I arrived here, my Mac booted fine as usual but the PC took three tries, and on the last one I just gave up, and restarted explorer, which seemed to work. This means none of my startup programs worked, so who knows what I’ll be missing today. All I know is that it was a bit of a rough start, but it’s Thursday, so it’s the end of the week anyway.
Today’s workload continues on the CME flash project I’ve been working on when there are no emergencies. My plan continues to be bringing my coldfusion OOP knowledge into the world of Flash CS3 and AS3. Yesterday I was able to successfully build a system that can expose the persistent variables in coldfusion (session and application) to Flash by use of other CFC calls which will be included in the Administrative section of the website. Eventually this piece will tag along to the product management screen as a file manager of sorts. The admin will be able to upload and modify files right there without having to reload the page. I’m hoping to have that figured out today so it can all be integrated by end of day today.
