Worth the Expense
Yesterday my fiance came over and gave me his daily update of home-improvement activities. Thrown into the mumbo-jumbo of floor leveling, stud repairing, and plumbing alterations was a quick aside regarding our 100 + roof. Apparently he is in the opinion that it will last us a solid ten years. I on the other hand do not share this hopeful outlook. The past few weeks have been rainy ones and while there has not been a deluge of water, I’ve noticed growing wet spots on the floor. When I point them out, Heath insists that they were there before but he can not deny that they are wet to the touch and bigger than before. I am certain that he is trying to avoid the inevitable reality of a costly roof replacement. In his opinion he’d rather perform some patch-work and move on to the next awaited task, but I can’t say that I agree. My experience in digital marketing has revealed that band aids don’t clot deep wounds. It may keep things tidy for a short period of time, but inevitably, the underlying problem will shine through or in this case, rain through.
So what did I say to Heath, the same thing our full service advertsing agency say to clients: invest in the improvement that will greatly enhance your website, eLearning program, or CD-ROM. It will be well worth it.
