The Power in Change

Today in business to succeed, you have to be open to change. And the changes are coming fast and furiously at us from all directions driven of course by the dizzying advances in technology. Still too many business people do not want to change.

It is amazing how often clients only hear what they want to hear. This happens at DDA almost every day. We try to communicate clearly when working with clients. We outline what they can expect from our process. Still, after an optimized website is launched we invariably get a comment like “I did not come up on the first page of Google when I typed in one of my relevant keywords.” Okay, Mr. Client, how many times did you hear your assigned DDA Graphic Designer or even earlier  one of our Business Development people say, it takes six to eight months to rank significantly on Google. Why then would you even ask us three weeks after launch why you don’t rank?

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we do not lie, we do not tell potential clients what they want to hear so we will become the chosen vendor. Instead, we bring all our business, marketing, advertising and promotional skills to the table with the goal of producing the best results for a client’s service or product.

When we are blessed with clients who get it, who understand what DDA offers, who work closely with our teams during development the outcome can be dynamite! This is an intricate dance we do. It involves imagination and commitment from everyone associated with the project. It involves having an open mind from the client to new ideas and new methods. It involves focus from the DDA Project Coordinator, the Content Developer and any other team members brought in for different phases of the project. When there is this kind of convergence, together clients and DDA create powerful marketing magic.
