Advertising an Advertising Agency
At our advertising agency, among the many client projects we have on our to-do lists, we also pursue projects that help promote our company to new prospects. I remember when I first started and my desk was positioned next to Esther, who was a feisty woman fighting retirement and whose job it was to assist with AR/AP as needed and make calls out to potential leads. At the same time, two other employees (one commission based) were sending out creative direct mail pieces to a long list of contacts and following up with them to confirm receipt and generate business. Although I do miss Esther, who is now hopefully enjoying every minute of her well deserved retirement, I’m happy and excited to see that our sales process has evolved.
In the (just about) four years of my employment at DDA, I’ve seen our New Business Development department transition to a solid structure and one that is in keeping with today’s expectations.
