Moving On
My husband’s 30th birthday is approaching and I’ll tell you he is less than thrilled. Although his hair is already turning to a salt and pepper color, he doesn’t want to age and would do anything to stay in his twenties forever. However, time does not stand still for any one or any thing, and regardless of what he wants, come the 1st of October, he will be entering a new decade full of new experiences and adventures. He may be going into his thirties kicking and screaming, but hopefully he’ll come to appreciate what the next 10 years have in store.
This theme of aging is my segue to marketing and advertising. If you have kept old and tired campaigns going, making minor updates month after month with little to no real impact, it may be time to consider a new approach. Far too often, I see client requests come down the proverbial conveyor line to modify existing content, typically on a website designed ten or more years ago. Although, at DDA, we are happy to accommodate our client requests, it can be difficult to keep from saying, “It’s time for website redesign!” With today’s technologies, we could improve your website with interactive promotional videos to feature your latest product line, online virtual training simulations that require log-in information for access, search engine optimization copywriting to generate Internet traffic, password-protected project management tools to ascertain status remotely, and so much more. Contact us to learn how your business can grow and age gracefully in the 21st century.
“I cannot help fearing that men may reach a point where they look on every new theory as a danger, every innovation as a toilsome trouble, every social advance as a first step toward revolution, and that they may absolutely refuse to move at all.” -Alexis de Tocqueville
