Learning Something New
With the wide variety of clients we have here at DDA, we often get the chance to learn about very unique topics during the course of working on a project. I’ve researched everything from roof coatings and replacement windows to precision machining and medical training programs. Usually, that research is done to help me write better content for our clients’ websites. But over the last few weeks, I’ve been working on a project that doesn’t require writing, but still exposes me to a unique and interesting topic.
A medical client of ours is looking to drive more visitors to a collection of continuing medical education (CME) tools that have been slow to gain traction on the Internet. So DDA Medical helped them come up with a unique and interesting solution. They turned over lengthy transcripts of all the continuing medical education (CME) tools, which we are dividing and modifying to create multiple pages of search engine optimized content. Because the doctors speaking in the transcripts are experts in the unique disease being discussed, the content is filled with keywords that will help drive visitors to the CMEs.
So while I have not been writing content for this site, I have been going through each CME and separating the content into manageable segments for use on the new site. This means I have read thousands of words on a rare illness and the latest advancements in treatment, while listening to these experts discuss their research and answer questions. It is a topic I never would have any reason to research without this project, and now, I’m an expert! (not really).
Here at DDA and DDA Medical, we like to think outside the box. So when you come to us with a problem, the creative minds here at DDA work through all kinds of options to come up with the best solution, even if it means less money in our pocket, or more headaches among our staff. Sure, we all have our specialties. From copywriters and graphic designers, to programmers, animators, and videographers, we are all experts in our specific areas of interest, which means all the work can be done under one roof. But here at DDA, we are all free-thinking people with creative minds. So, when a unique idea like this one comes our way, we work together to create a unique solution that gets the job done.
