Rain, Rain (and snow?) Go Away

I spent all day Monday getting more and more nervous about Game 5 of the World Series, which was scheduled for Monday night in Philadelphia. After all, the Phillies were on the verge of the first championship of my lifetime!

But after some heavy rain, and a soggy baseball field, the game was suspended in the sixth inning with the score tied at 2. They originally planned to resume the game tonight, but thanks to the heavy rain (and even significant snow up here in Bucks county), they have already announced that it won’t be played until Wednesday. The forecast isn’t great then either, so it might be Thanksgiving before we see more baseball.

All in all, it might be a blessing in disguise, at least for me. I can catch up on sleep tonight (and maybe tomorrow night), and if the Phillies do win the title, I probably wouldn’t have to miss work to attend the par… (I won’t jinx it by writing the word, but Macy’s holds one in New York on Thanksgiving Day).

At Dynamic Digital Advertising, there is no slowing down because of a strange October snowstorm. Today, DDA’s professional copywriters are charging through an update for one of our divisions: DDA Corporate and Medical Training (CMT). It’s a small change that may not be easy to spot, but it should help us stay ahead of the curve when it comes to elearning, virtual training, internet-based training, and technology-based training tools.

With such a wide variety of services offered at DDA — including video production, programming, copywriting, graphic design, and animation — we are in a unique position to serve this niche of the market better than any other company.

And hopefully, by the time the changes go live, we can celebrate a World Series title — and not have to trudge through the snow to do it.
