Setting a Goal and Actually Reaching It
A few weeks ago, I decided that I was going to set a goal for myself to take part in a 10-mile run next summer. Why would I put myself through this? After all, I’m the same person who switched from soccer to golf in high school because it involved no running. Well, I need to get myself in a little better shape and start exercising again, and the only way I know how is to set an ambitious goal way down the road, and then figure out a way to reach it.
So I tried to start slow, investing in some real running shoes, blocking out time to walk the dog each night, and even sprinkling in a few short runs. Mostly I have to ignore the excuses I always try to make (it’s too late, the Phillies are on, gotta make dinner, etc.). I’ve been doing OK with that, but thanks to a few minor injuries caused by those first runs (and the fact that I’m out of shape), my routine has been pretty subdued in recent weeks. This week, I’m trying again to kickstart the plan, and get back on track.
Here at DDA, we never lose sight of the goals attached to each project. Everything is well-planned and organized, and every project has a corodinator who makes sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. As one of those project coordinators, I know from personal experience that it is very rewarding to help facilitate each project and move the timeline along. If the project involves copywriting, I am actively involved in the nuts and bolts, but sometimes it is simply my job to make sure all the other experts here at DDA have the answers they need from the client, and that the client is kept aware of the project’s progress.
With so much going on under one roof here at DDA, it makes it much easier for each client to have just one person to contact or ask questions to. With animators, programmers, graphic designers, copywriters, videographers, and search engine optimization (SEO) specialists all doing their own thing, and so many complex and intricate projects on our plate, DDA makes sure to set specific goals from the very beginning. Contact us today and let us help you reach your goal!
For me, it’s a little bit more writing today, followed by a short run and a night spent with bags of frozen spinach on my knees.
