So Much to Say, So Little Time

Over the last few days, I’ve gotten the chance to shift gears away from the search engine optimized content I have been working on in recent weeks, and focus on video scripts for an exciting new version of DDAmedical.com.

When it’s launched, the new DDA Medical site will blow your mind (I know, I’ve seen it) — and showcase DDA Medical’s wide array of capabilities and technologies. The new site will include integrated video clips about a wide variety of topics, and it’s up to the copywriting team here at DDA to generate the scripts for those videos. Before coming to DDA, I didn’t have tons of experience in script writing, but I’ve picked it up along the way by playing a part in a wide variety of projects. It’s a fun challenge, and one that is very different from much of the writing we do here at DDA.

For this site, the format dictates short — roughly 30- to 40-second — video clips on a variety of topics, instead of a few longer videos. Personally, I think this is a great approach. With this kind of format, visitors can find a specific video that touches on the topics he or she is looking for, and get the information they need without watching a lengthy video.

But it presents a real challenge when writing, since 30 or 40 seconds is MUCH shorter than you think. It’s difficult to include all necessary information, especially when an actor is speaking in a slower, more deliberate tone, as they should for videos like this. With all the capabilities DDA Medical has to offer, it’s tough to get the message across in 30 or 40 seconds. From healthcare IT to medical website design and development, CME development, and clinical trial marketing, DDA Medical can do it all.

But here at DDA, we like challenges, and writing these scripts has been no different. Just wait until you see the new DDA Medical site, complete with integrated video, portfolio samples, and loads of other information. And as a visitor, you can take all the time you need to see everything DDA Medical can do.
