I Love it When a Plan Comes Together

With new designs ready to go, a handful of possible voiceover talents, and tentatively approved scripts, a customer tutorial video we are in the process of developing is making great strides today.

We just reviewed the revised design concepts and they look great. Without giving too much away, this is a project geared toward the consumer and deals with the mortgage industry. It will be a step-by-step presentation to help struggling homeowners get on a better path for the future. Video production projects are fun and I like when I have a chance to see a project in the development phase. I don’t get to do much of that anymore, so it’s always a refreshing change for me.

There are a lot of pieces to keep in balance when a project is under development — keeping track of all client approvals, making sure the graphic designer assigned to the project has everything she needs to move forward,  helping to cast talent and choose a recording date, writing scripts, communicating with the videographers, and of course keeping the client in the loop at each step. And that of course is just for video production projects.

While every project we do has the same general process, lots of client feedback and review, high-quality work, and  multi-departmental involvement, the logistics of what needs to be done change from one project to the next. Continuing medical education (CME) and eLearning platform development, medical website design and development, and medical animations all have their own little steps that need to be properly handled. Even with video production two projects are never the same. I guess that’s what happens when you are a custom company.

So today, among my other tasks at hand, I will stay busy making sure all of the pieces are coming together to create one great product.
