Patient-Focused Priorities
I think there’s a lot of merit to all the healthcare talk as of late. Being a patient or undergoing medical treatment for anything can be a very confusing and potentially scary time. Oftentimes you’re pushed through appointments and only get a brief amount of time with the physician. It’s easy to forget the information provided and unless you think ahead, you may not remember or have a chance to ask all of your questions.
With our medical division, DDA Medical, accounting for nearly 70% of all work we do, we deal a lot in the healthcare industry. There’s been a surge lately in providing more comprehensive and engaging patient-information materials. A lot of companies, whether it’s pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturers, are looking to video production as a way to reach out to patients and explain therapies, procedures, and how to administer certain drugs. We’ve been doing video production since 1996 and providing interactive marketing and video services is a core competency of ours, so creating something that’s engaging, informative, and will grab attention is not only easy for us to do, but something of a specialty for us.
More patient-focused websites are also gaining popularity as physicians’ offices and major companies look at ways to cut office costs and make it easier for patients to schedule appointments, ask questions, and keep track of medications. We do all forms of website design and development including patient portals, e-mail systems, integrating video, and much more.
I think with so many issues and problems being uncovered these days with healthcare and insurance as a whole, making patients more informed and providing them with easy access and more convenience is of vital importance.
In the digital world we live in, there are so many opportunities for medical companies, practices, and institutions to use technology to their advantage, and at DDA Medical we are happy to help make it happen.
