My mouth is already salivating. OK, so I know Thanksgiving is more than just about the food, but can I just tell you that I am a carb freak. Truly, I go crazy for anything bread, pasta, or potato related. In my regular life, I try super hard to balance my carbs. I dont always prevail, but I havent had a soft pretzel in I cant tell you how long. And I love soft pretzels. Also, no cereal. But on Thanksgiving day, all bets are off. I pile my plate full of every carb on the table. Being an ex-vegetarian, I am well accustomed to, and actually prefer, a meatless dinner, but for the sake of protein I usually nibble some turkey. You know, to counter balance all of those yams and stuffing. Mmmmmm stuffing. So yeah, I think I can honestly say I am thankful for the food. But Im not an in-grate. I am also thankful for the loving and caring people in my life who make me this food and that I have somewhere to go to enjoy it with people I care about. There are many who are not as fortunate as me, and to be able to share a meal with my family, with all of us in good health, thats not something to take for granted.
So along with my fellow DDAers, I will finish up last-minute tasks today and make sure everything is in order before heading out for the four-day holiday. Around here there’s a lot of commotion, as people try to wrap up client requests for videos, websites, custom-programming projects, search engine marketing (SEM), animations, and more. There are quite a few tight deadlines and large work loads being balanced and I know that many of my fellow employees will feel a lot better sitting down to dinner tomorrow knowing that our clients have exactly what they need, when requested.
