The Right Match

Quite some time ago, a friend of ours in the antique business, found us a  multi-leaf table that was from the same time period of our house — turn of the century. After giving it a light refinishing, with mineral spirits and a coating of finish to protect it, we started searching for chairs to go with it. It’s not been an easy task. We’ve been to just about every antique shop, used furniture store, flea market, etc., we can think of. On Saturday, I took a chance on an antique mall near my house that we had not been to before. While they had some great stuff, it was rather pricey compared to other places and I hadn’t seen any chairs that caught my eye so I decided to leave, thinking it was yet again another miss. Luckily, I happened to turn to the right and that’s when I noticed four, incredibly shabby chairs. They seemed to be from the same era as the table, were sturdy enough, with no noticeable holes or tears in the woven seats, and though spotted with white/gold paint, were real wood so they could be refinished. Quickly, I looked at the price tag and lo and behold the price was right. Oh happy day, we had chairs!

They seem to be a great match, perfect height, same wood coloring (though that may change when they’re stripped down), so right now, I’m chalking it up to a good find. Everyone knows how great it is to find something you’ve been looking for at long last. Especially something that seems so perfect and seemed to almost land in your lap. There were a couple of instances where we could have chosen something that would’ve done the trick but was either not exactly the look we wanted or way over priced, but we didn’t. As with everything else, we knew if we were patient we would eventually find what we wanted without having to compromise.

Oftentimes, I hear a similar sentiment from potential clients inquiring about our work. Some are lucky enough to find us on a first pass, others have tried working with another vendor but soon found that they couldn’t actually do what they wanted. Sometimes people sound relieved when they hear that yes, we can indeed offer the advanced custom programming, website design and development, video production, or search engine marketing (SEM) services you’re looking for. Then there are others who’ve already looked through our medical marketing portfolio, have seen all of the amazing and comprehensive eLearning platforms, patient portals, and health management tools we’ve created, and know instantly that we’re the right match for them.

So, if you’ve been searching a long time to find that interactive video game, 2D or 3D animation, or any other corporate or medical marketing, healthcare communication, or innovative service developer, then look no further than DDA. The best part is there is no refinishing required. We’re ready to go from the start!
