Thoughtful Marketing Services
Yesterday I got to do some writing for a client. I don’t get to do too many search engine optimized content pages anymore so it was a nice change. It’s a company for which I’ve written multiple times before so it wasn’t difficult to get back into the flow of it.
Writing for organic search engine optimization (SEO) is not just about peppering in keywords. All of the same rules of writing apply — grammar, readability, interest. With the type of pages I was writing, I had to be entertaining and informative, compelling and factual.
I think everyone here at DDA has the end goal in mind when working on a particular project. Designs, animations, videos, or websites are not just about implementing our skills and expertise. We need to consider the client, the target audience, the expectation. We have to pull ourselves away from what we’ve done before to create something new, innovative, and engaging, and oftentimes we have to think not of what would make us happy, but of what would most benefit the client.
Sure I like writing and I’ve done it for quite a number of years, but each project at DDA presents a new challenge that forces me to really think and push myself to provide the best product possible.
