Trendy Webcasts
Dealing with new business, I get to see the trends as they start. The current trend? Medical webcasts. Like with any other trend, it seemed to have gained popularity almost over night. We’ve received quite a few requests in the past few weeks. Luckily, we’re well prepared.
Medial webcasting, both live video streaming and archived presentations, are useful tools for a variety of purposes, including as part of a continuing medical education (CME) platform, in teaching a new treatment, in educating potential patients on an alternative procedure, or in providing important information such as policy changes or new insurance practices. Since we offer full-service capabilities in-house, we can, in turn, offer high-quality and comprehensive webcast services. A full video production team and studio, means a professional crew can travel on-location all over the nation to record live presentations, streaming live feed to attendees hundreds of miles away, who are attending via the Internet. This, through the help of one of our webcast technicians.
We can also set up a live chat feed that will allow virtual attendees to ask the presenter questions in real time, and see all questions being asked streaming live across the web. If PowerPoint slides are involved, we can sync those with the presentation, offering side-by-side viewing. As we use the first generation slides, our Internet webcasting comes off looking sharper, clearer, and crisper than something another company might produce. Of course, that’s in my humble opinion.
DDA Medical can also create an archived webcast presentation, either based on the live webcast or taped live, but not streamed, just archived, and then integrated on the client’s website.
There are a lot more possibilities as well, including hosting of the video and webcast, log-in requirements, a CME component, and even search engine optimization.
It’s a good thing DDA Medical prepares itself for those trends, because you never know when something is suddenly going to gain steam or stream.
