Wind Power

Last night the wind was full of power. I thought for sure that my windows would be blown to pieces. My boyfriend even got up in the middle of the night to put up some extra reinforcements so that we wouldn’t have a serious situation on our ends. Luckily, we escaped without harm, however, the wind did not pass without consequence. Our power — this includes the entire neighborhood and adjoining major highway, traffic lights and all — was out for about two hours this morning, and a large chunk of that aforementioned highway was shut down due to down wires all over the road. The chunk, of course, that I travel to get to work.

Needless to say, I was late this morning. I hate being late. Now, I’m scrambling to get all of my morning chores — checking e-mail, writing blogs, editing blogs, sending out my task list, etc. — done as quickly as possible, so I can focus on my work today, which includes developing proposals for video production and eLearning platform development, a conference call to discuss website design and development and search engine marketing (SEM), and arranging a meeting to discuss animation development. This on top of monitoring changes to an existing website and looking into ownership of domain names.

So enough excitement for today. It’s time to get down to work.
