You’ve Gotta Get Up Early to Outsmart DDA
Since I’ve been working at DDA — where we work a compressed four-day workweek — I’ve come to enjoy my Friday mornings, when I get to get a few extra hours of sleep while the rest of the world scurries off to work. But this Friday, I will be waking up even earlier than I do during the workweek, as my family piles into the car and heads to Boston for my brother’s college graduation. I’m still not sure what time we are leaving, but my dad is driving, and he is quite the morning person.
In fact, when I asked him what time he wanted to hit the road, his answer was: “Well, I really enjoy sunrise in Connecticut.”
Great. Really looking forward to that one.
Hopefully, I’ll add on a few hours of sleep in the back of the car, while my dad enjoys his Connecticut sunrise. But after that, it should be a fun weekend, even though much of it will be spent on the campus of my alma mater’s biggest archrival — I went to Boston University, my brother is graduating from Boston College (think of it as the Hatfields and McCoys, the campuses are just a few miles apart). I’ll be sure to wear my new T-shirt celebrating BU’s 2009 national hockey championship.
Anyway, while I’m getting up in time to see sunrise three hours away, you better be waking up too, if you want to outsmart the experienced pros here at Dynamic Digital Advertising. Sure, we offer a wide array of marketing and advertising services, including video production, search engine optimized copywriting, print production, animation, and medical website design and development. But we take the most pride in listening to a client’s problem, and developing a customized solution that exceeds their expectations. We’re good like that.
For example, we’ve done webcasts before, hosted online streaming video, and even archived the same video for future viewing. But each project is different, so when a major spine institute needed to conduct a live online webcast that not only featured streaming video, but also included powerpoint slides, an on-site moderator, and interactive question-and-answer sessions, DDA rose to the challenge. Not only can we host the streaming video and create the online portal for viewers to register, but we also sent two of our video specialists to Tampa to help with production, and created customized a custom design for the site.
Well, that webcast hits the air (or the Internet, I guess), in less than an hour. And while I’m not directly involved in the project, I’m judging by the quiet hum around the office that everything is going according to plan. We all got a chance to help test the system yesterday, and it was quite impressive. Needless to say, the client will also be impressed, and we will have solved another problem with an innovative solution like only we can. When you handle everything in-house, like we do here at DDA, even the craziest plan is well within our grasp.
We’ve got it under control, so you can rest easily. You can even hit the snooze button a few times.
