Delisting

Delisting is the act of being removed from a search engine’s index of websites. Search engines have a number of guidelines established that determine whether a website’s relevancy and listing in the search results of the major search engines. Delisting occurs when “black hat” or fraudulent techniques are used to increase traffic to a company’s website.
