DDA Glossary Interactive EnvironmentWhat is an interactive environment? It is any technology-based interface that reacts and responds to user input. An Interactive environment is the broad term used to categorize forms of computer-based media that instructs, communicates, and entertains as a result of user action. An interactive environment can take the form of a website with embedded video, animations, and simulations or may be used to define a training interface with interactive media mechanisms that are operated and controlled by the user. Interactive environment is also a term used to describe a 2D or 3D virtual representation of a space or object that can be explored, analyzed, and manipulated through the use of custom programmed controls. |
