We are committed to providing our customers with a seamless transition into the next century, and at this point in time are confident that we can provide uninterrupted service through the Year 2000 and beyond. We have allocated the necessary funds to successfully complete the work needed to make all of our systems Year 2000 compliant and are committed at the highest level of our company to solving Year 2000 issues. Our Products Havis Shields manufactured products are NOT subject to the Year 2000 problem in any way. Kwik Raze, Collins Dynamics, Consolidator, Kwik Kit, and Prisoner Transport products do not contain embedded chips or microprocessors and therefore, are not date-dependent. Our Internal Systems We have conducted a full inventory of all IT and non-IT assets and are in the process of testing these systems and making the necessary upgrades or changes. This inventory includes all of our internal computing hardware and software, automated manufacturing systems and equipment, crucial external service providers (banks, utilities, etc.), and environmental operations (HVAC, security, telephone, fire and alarm systems, etc.). All mission-critical systems are targeted for Year 2000 compliance by the end of the second quarter of 1999. Our Suppliers We are currently seeking assurance from our critical raw materials suppliers that their services will not be disrupted by the Year 2000 date change. We are encouraged by the level of response and the awareness of issues surrounding the Year 2000. Contingency plans are in place in the event that we should experience supply shortages, but due to the dependence on interrelated vendors, service providers, and systems, it is nearly impossible to determine what impact the Year 2000 problem will have on our own business and that of our suppliers.
