I just got on the net, put in quilts and brought up your site.
I live in southern Ca. I have some friends that we try to go
to a differant place each year. The last two years we went to
the Sisters Quilt show in Or. The year before we went to Paducah
show.would love to go into Omish country, and see the country
back there and all the quilt shops, we heve ment some really
nice people along the way, maybe sometime we will be in your area.
Thank for the internet site.

I live right in the heart of Lancaster County
(Dutch Country), and have seen many of the Amish
Quilts in auctions in the area. They have lovely
pieces. I grew up in Georgia where my grandmother
and great aunts still took pride in doing things
the old way such as hand quilting or home canning their own homegrown fruits and
vegetables. Now that I have children of my own, I
really want to start doing those things so I can
pass down the importance not only of heritage,
but of the sense of pride you feel when you put
that quilt on your bed, or open up that jar of
jam. I am officially going to start on my first
quilt, and really have enjoyed looking through
your site for ideas and encouragement.

I have never even picked up a needle to sew or used a sewing machine in my life.
My great grandmother has been sewing for as long as I can remember. She is 95
years old and she is still going. Just last year she made my son a baby quilt
and it is very beautiful. It hangs on my sons wall and whenever I look at it,
i am amazed at the detail. I am intrested in learning how to sew and eventually i
would like to learn to make quilts like my great grandmother. Nobody in our family
has succussfully attempted to make a quilt, and I would like to be the first. I
have been browsing the internet and I came across this web site. I hope that it
will be informative to me and help me to achieve my goal.

You have a really great place here...would love to
be able to visit your store in person! What is most
important to me is the emphasis on hand-quilting.
I wish you great sucess!! Karen

Thanks for all your help on the telephone today!. Your site is great. My daughter will enjoy being able to order her dolls again. Hopefully we'll be able to visit your store soon.

Great site and page, enjoyed my visit. In knowing the customs of the Amish and Mennonite, it is extremely good for the heart to know that there are business people out there who still operate on a rapport of friendship with the people they do business
with.
