Location marketing TOO

Last week, I talked about using localization in your search engine marketing campaigns.

Another way to achieve local traffic is to add you business to the Google local directory, which is now rolled into Google maps. When people search local terms in Google maps, and now even in normal Google listings, you will sometimes notice a map at the top of the result with listings to the side. These are the local results pulled from Google’s database.

Adding your information to the Google Local database is free, simply sign up using the Local business Center. A simple verification is all that is needed to confirm your business phone number and address and then within a week your site will be added.

Google even allows you to add coupons to your listing to entice customers with any offers you may be running
